Beste Chris,
Volgens mij doelt Mathy op hetgeen ik in een eerder bericht in dit draadje schreef nl; Hedwig kon aan het nr van de auto zien dat mijn auto voor de Belgische markt ge-assembleerd was, maar toch in Nederland op kenteken is gezet. Naar ik meen heb ik op dit forum ook wel eens een overzichtje gezien van die landennrs.....of was het nou bij Hooftman waar ik Hedwig trof op de sleuteldag aldaar en waar hij een boekje had met de landennummers? (Hedwig als je meeleest schroom niet om aan te vullen)
Op mijn auto zit geen alarm, en zitten ook geen koplampruitenwissers. Wellicht was dit bv samen met abs een optie die je bij aanschaf tegen meerprijs kon aanschaffen. Voorlopig is mijn enige kompas dus die folder en daar staat het allemaal niet vermeld als standaard.

The huge 940 and 960 rear-wheel drive saloons and estates became Volvo's range-toppers in 1990. Most four cylinder models are badged 940; six cylinder 2.5 and 3.0 cars are badged 960; (rather confusingly, the 940 2.4 TD models have a six cylinder unit, while the 960 2.3 Turbo has a four cylinder engine). Power output starts at 111 bhp with the 940 2.0 and goes to 204 bhp with the 960 3.0 V6 24-valve.
To October 93, the 940 specification levels were base/GL, S, SE and GLE. SE models add an electric sunroof and electric rear windows; GLE models add alloy wheels, an automatic locking differential and metallic paint. 940 estates have optional roof rails (black or chrome). 960 models have a higher standard specification, including alloy wheels, differential lock, electric driver's seat, leather upholstery and climate control. The 24-valve models add cruise control from 1991. Options available include upgraded alloys and an electric passenger seat, and black or chrome roof rails on the estate.
From October 93, the 960 24-valve was available in mix-and-match 'Customer Spec' (CS) or 'Full Spec' (FS). CS could include any of the following: 15" ten-spoke alloy wheels, electric steel sunroof, leather steering wheel, climate control, electrically adjusted and heated driver's seat, leather upholstery, roof rails (estates only). FS is, as it sounds, the whole lot; a ruched leather upholstery upgrade was available. The scarce Executive saloon is equally well specified, and was available as a long-wheelbase (LWB) variant, six inches longer than the standard car.
The 940 and 960 were revised in September 94; they were restyled, with revisions to chassis and suspension, plus new interiors. Badging of specification levels was now S, SE, GLE, CD and Executive, similar to the previous 940; S models had an optional 'Entry Pack' comprising an integral child seat, six-speaker audio and electric rear windows; SE models added alloy wheels, walnut veneer trim and load area cover (estates); GLE models add leather upholstery; CD models have electric front seats, self-levelling suspension and an automatic locking differential.
The 940 range was reduced to just the 2.3, Turbo and 2.4 TD, with basic L, S and SE trim levels, though GLE 940 estates were relaunched in July 95 with air conditioning, metallic paintwork and leather trim; S models were rebadged 'Platform'. In October 95, the issue was complicated further by the launch of 940 2.3 LPT and 2.4 TD saloons with base specification - and an optional Luxury pack, including leather trim and electric windows. The 960 options list got ever more detailed with the availability of a Luxury Edition pack (March 96): air conditioning, alloy wheels, and wood trim (on 2.5 SE/CD. 3.0 CD models only).

Het kan zijn, dat een bepaalde uitvoering in bepaalde landen andere dingetjes al standaard ingebouwd heeft. Een auto voor de Nederlandse markt is meestal wat spaarzamer uitgerust dan diezelfde auto voor een andere markt. In Nederland betalen we namelijk erg voor BPM (ik meen 46,2%). Om dan toch te zorgen, dat hun auto's niet onverkoopbaar worden, wordt een wat minder luxe versie aangeboden. Maar er zijn waarschijnlijk nog wel wat andere redenen waarom bepaalde onderdelen in sommige landen standaard aangeboden worden, en in andere niet. In Duitsland moet een auto dacht ik OF automatische niveauregeling OF automatische lamphoogteverstelling hebben, om niemand te verblinden. Een van de twee zal er dus standaard inzitten, terwijl dat in Nederland uit kostenoverwegingen niet in zit. En een Amerikaanse uitvoering zal weer veel eerder een automaat hebben, dan een Europese. In Duitsland is op de estate vanaf 1993 een 75 liter tank geleverd. Die is in Nederland nooit aangeboden.

Het zou vermeld zijn op het plaatje welke uitvoering origineel vanuit de fabriek is geleverd.
Aanpassingen achteraf, voor een ander uitrustingsniveau, kunnen natuurlijk altijd nog door de invoerder gebeurd zijn..

Ik heb geen alarm, maar wel de stickers en de knipperende ledjes...dus �³f hobbybob heeft stickers geplakt en ledjes ingebouwd, of hij heeft de alarm unit en hoorn uitgebouwd. Ik zal zsm weer even wat plaatjes schieten trouwens, ook van typeplaatje, als ik t niet vergeet.

In het geval van het voorbeeld (Valentijn) is dat 72.
