New strut tops

I now have a replacement strut top mounting available to fit all 300 series.

For a number of years strut tops have no longer been available from Volvo and I have not been able to find a suitable bolt on alternative from any other car.

As Polyurethane is my thing I have spent a lot of time thinking up a design that would work. A number of ideas were drawn up and scraped as they were over complex until I managed to simplify it down to the design you see now.

The alloy housing is machined from one piece with a two part polyurethane bush and stainless steel centre tube and washers. For serviceability a grease nipple is fitted.

Trail sets have been out with Foggyjames on V3M and Anjo here with positive results. A further small batch had been made for further feedback. Since that batch some minor improvements have been made. 1)The finish on the washers is much better as they laser cut from sheet instead of turned from a bar. 2) The grease nipple is now mounted higher up and a angled type to improve clearance. 3) the internal shape of the housing has been altered and the PU bush to match.
